What does a WordPress specialist do?
A WordPress specialist handles the day-to-day operation and ongoing development of existing websites: updates, security, and backups; new features and templates; performance; and error analysis. Unlike website development, the focus here is on ongoing maintenance.
How much does a WordPress specialist charge per hour?
Market rates range from 60 to 120 € per hour. I charge €95 net for administration, support, and maintenance, and €100 net for further development and design—per quarter-hour or portion thereof, including communication. A fixed monthly fee is possible, but not required.
Do you also take on websites that someone else has created?
Yes, that's usually the case. I familiarize myself with existing WordPress installations—regardless of which theme, page builder, or plugins were used to set them up.
Do you also take on websites built with Divi, Gutenberg, or other website builders?
Yes. I provide support for Gutenberg, Divi, WPBakery, Bricks, and Oxygen, as well as Elementor: updates, maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor enhancements to the system already in use. I prefer to implement major enhancements in Elementor—we’ll discuss whether switching to it is worthwhile based on your website.
Do I need a set number of hours?
No. You can commission individual tasks as needed or agree on a fixed weekly or monthly budget that I will set aside for you. Both options are possible.
Do you work with our agency or your in-house IT team?
Yes. I work directly with management, teams, and agencies, and I follow your guidelines, such as corporate design and areas of responsibility.
What is the difference between care and support?
Ongoing maintenance involves the continuous care and further development of your website. If you're dealing with a specific, one-time issue, WordPress Help & Support is the right place to turn to.
How quickly are requests processed?
Within the agreed-upon time budget, I will address your concerns promptly and in order of priority. For urgent issues that arise outside the scope of ongoing support, emergency assistance is available.
