An association website that highlights its topics and work, appeals to members, and encourages them to get involved—professional, accessible, and compelling in its content.
Associations and clubs face a unique challenge: They carry out work that is socially significant, yet must reach a wide variety of target groups—members, prospective members, the press, sponsors, and the general public—often with limited resources. A professional website is not a luxury but an indispensable tool for visibility, communication, and member recruitment.
As a web designer and WordPress freelancer, I develop websites for associations, national federations, and clubs that take these requirements seriously. Using Elementor Pro, I create websites that present even complex structures—such as departments, topic categories, site maps, and state and regional associations—in a clear and user-friendly way. In doing so, I always keep in mind the people who will later be responsible for maintaining the website’s content: staff members and volunteers who need to be able to update content without any prior technical knowledge.
Special attention is paid to accessibility: Associations often cater to broad, diverse audiences. Accessible design, clear language, sufficient contrast, and intuitive navigation are not optional extras, but rather an integral part of my work—just as are GDPR-compliant forms, legally sound foundations, and technically sound implementation with a focus on search engine visibility.
A clean, accessible design that reflects the association’s identity and values—built using WordPress and Elementor Pro, even for complex structures with departments, sections, and subtopics.
Whether it’s expert committees, topic sections, state and regional associations, or working groups—a well-designed information architecture ensures that visitors can quickly find what they’re looking for without having to navigate through nested menus.
News, press releases, events, and podcast episodes can be integrated in a clearly structured way that’s easy to maintain—ensuring that the website isn’t just a static presence, but becomes a dynamic communication platform.
Membership forms, donation appeals, and contact options are designed to make the path from interest to participation as short as possible—in compliance with the GDPR and accessible to all.
Organizations often target a broad, diverse audience. I ensure that the website is accessible, has sufficient contrast, is well-structured, and uses clear language—so that it is accessible to everyone.
Today, almost any website requirement can be met based on your needs and requirements. Just ask.
1. Analysis of the association, its members, and its committees. In our initial consultation, we’ll clarify the structure of your association or club: board of directors, administrative office, members, and external stakeholders. Which target audiences should the website address—members, potential members, policymakers, the media, or sponsors? Which content is public, and what is available in the restricted members-only area? This clarity shapes the information architecture.
2. A concept rooted in the association’s DNA. You will receive an initial web design concept with sample pages—the home page, a topic or position page, and the members-only area. The design adheres to your association’s corporate identity, is accessible, and organizes content in a way that makes sense for three target audiences at once. First partial invoice upon approval.
3. Implementation using WordPress & Elementor Pro. Based on the concept, I’ll create topic pages, a press section, an events calendar, a newsletter integration, a secure members-only area, and GDPR-compliant forms. If desired, I can integrate membership management or donation modules. Training for the office staff ensures that they can update content on their own.
4. SEO, Security & Launch. Before the go-live: Backups, security, page speed, and full GDPR compliance (especially important for member data). Local and topic-based SEO—such as “Berlin Association,” “Club,” plus your subject area—will be implemented. Old URLs will be redirected. After the site goes live, I’ll provide support for content updates, promotions, and campaign landing pages on an hourly basis.

That depends heavily on the scope and complexity. Simpler club websites start at around €3,000 net, while more comprehensive association websites with topic sections, a news section, an events calendar, and membership features start at €6,000 net. Alternatively, we can charge by the hour.
Yes—that is a key goal. WordPress will be set up so that posts, events, topic categories, and page content can be managed even without any technical knowledge. An introductory session for the team is available upon request.
Yes. Multi-level navigation, site maps, directories of regional and state associations, and different editorial access levels for various sections can be easily implemented in WordPress.
For smaller club websites, expect a turnaround time of 4 to 6 weeks. Larger association websites with many topics, pages, and features typically take 2 to 4 months—depending on the availability of content and the team’s approval processes.
Yes. Whether it’s a relaunch of an existing WordPress website, a migration from another CMS, or a phased overhaul of individual sections—I familiarize myself with existing structures and build on them without compromising live content.
I ensure that all essential requirements are met: a complete legal notice in accordance with Section 5 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG), a GDPR-compliant privacy policy, a cookie notice or consent banner if required, the integration of external services (Google Fonts, Maps, Analytics) in compliance with data protection regulations, and secure contact forms. For personalized legal advice, I recommend consulting a specialized attorney—I’ll reliably handle the technical implementation.
