A website that brings your winery to life, sells your wines, and guides guests through tastings.
People buy wine with their hearts—and more and more often online. Anyone who wants to taste or order your wines will first search online—for the winery, the region, or the grape variety. If your website looks outdated, customers will buy from a retailer instead of directly from you.
As a web designer and WordPress freelancer, I develop websites and online stores for wineries and winemakers—using Elementor Pro and WooCommerce. My focus is on authentic visual design, a clear presentation of the wines, and a simple way to make a purchase.
A strong winery website combines enjoyment with sales: It tells the story behind the wine, showcases vintages, grape varieties, and flavor profiles, sells directly through a legally compliant online store, and allows visitors to book tastings, tours, and events. This is how you can boost direct sales and build a loyal customer base.
Add to that the technical fundamentals: fast loading times, a legally compliant, GDPR-compliant online store platform, and targeted search engine optimization tailored to your grape varieties and region. This ensures your winery is found exactly where your customers are looking for their next bottle of wine.

Today, almost any website requirement can be met based on your needs and requirements. Just ask.
1. Analysis of product lineup, customer experience, and target audience. To start, we’ll determine which wines you carry, whether you sell directly, to restaurants, or to retailers, what tastings and events you offer, and who your target audience is.
2. Concept & Design. You’ll receive one to three sample pages of your future website—with a focus on authentic visual design, a clear presentation of the wines, and a simple purchasing process. The remaining pages will be created only after you approve them.
3. Implementation using WordPress & Elementor Pro. I’m building the homepage, the Wines and Shop sections, the Tastings and Events sections, the About Us and Vineyard sections, and the Contact page—with a legally compliant online store, a responsive design, and training on how to manage the site independently.
4. SEO, Security & Launch. Before the launch: backup system, hacking protection, page speed optimization, and a legally compliant store foundation. I’ll tailor the SEO specifically to your grape varieties and region, and old URLs will be redirected.
The cost depends primarily on the scope of the project—whether a basic website featuring a winery presentation and a small online store is sufficient, or whether a full-fledged online wine store with shipping and booking capabilities is desired. As a general guide:
| Service | Price (net) |
|---|---|
| Website featuring a winery presentation and a small shop | starting at € 3.000 |
| WooCommerce Wine Shop with Shipping & Reservations | Starting at € 7.500 |
| Billing by the hour | 100 €/hour |
A professionally designed website for a winery starts at €3,000 net. For more comprehensive websites featuring an online wine shop, tasting reservations, and multilingual support, the fixed price starts at €5,000 net. Alternatively, billing by the hour is available.

Yes. Wine tastings, tours, and events can be clearly presented and, if desired, booked directly through the website.
When selling wine, it is important to address the protection of minors, base price disclosures, mandatory and allergen information, as well as terms and conditions and the right of withdrawal. I will set up the online store in a technically sound and GDPR-compliant manner. Your attorney should provide legally binding advice; I will implement the setup to the best of my knowledge and in accordance with established practice.
