A practice website that builds trust with patients, clearly explains services for self-pay patients, and makes scheduling appointments easy—even before the first call comes in.
4For ophthalmologists, their own website is now the most important first point of contact. Anyone looking for an ophthalmologist—whether for an annual checkup, a LASIK consultation, or treatment for an acute problem—first Googles “ophthalmologist” plus the city. The website determines whether prospective patients call or keep scrolling.
As a web designer and WordPress freelancer, I develop websites for ophthalmology practices that convey expertise and care—built using Elementor Pro. A clear breakdown of services that distinguishes insurance-covered services from out-of-pocket options helps patients navigate their options and builds trust before their first appointment.
Self-pay services in particular—such as LASIK, premium intraocular lenses for cataracts, and cosmetic procedures—benefit from a factual, well-structured presentation. I draft all content in compliance with the German Health Promotion Act (HWG)—without making any claims of healing, but with a clear explanation of the benefits.
Add to that the technical fundamentals: fast loading times, a clean page structure, GDPR-compliant forms for patient data, an integrable online appointment scheduling system, and targeted local search engine optimization —in collaboration with specialists like SEO Freundlich, if desired. This ensures your practice is found exactly where your patients are searching.
In addition to this sample web design, you'll find examples of work I've created in collaboration with clients, here.
A clean, professional design that conveys expertise and care—built using WordPress and Elementor Pro based on your brand identity.
Whether it's services covered by health insurance, IGeL services, or cosmetic procedures—your services are clearly organized so that patients can immediately find what they're looking for.
Popular appointment scheduling systems (e.g., Doctolib, Jameda) are seamlessly integrated into the design—resulting in fewer phone calls and more booked appointments.
Secure contact forms and inquiry forms that meet the specific requirements for patient data in the medical field.
So that you can be found for “Eye Doctor + Your City”—on a fast, well-structured platform with Google Business integration.
Today, almost any website requirement can be met based on your needs and requirements. Just ask.
1. Analysis of practice & specialization. During our initial consultation, we’ll clarify your focuses: conservative ophthalmology, refractive surgery, pediatric ophthalmology, glaucoma, macular diagnostics, IGeL services. Which target groups do you want to reach — routine patients, self-payers for refractive procedures, seniors? This clarity shapes the information architecture.
2. A concept between medicine and trust. You’ll receive an initial web design concept with sample pages for your range of services, the team, and appointment scheduling. Ophthalmology websites must convey competence and care while lowering the inhibition threshold around surgical topics. First partial invoice upon approval.
3. Implementation using WordPress & Elementor Pro. Based on the concept, we’ll create service pages for all treatments, diagnostic procedures, a team with specialist qualifications, FAQs, directions and — if desired — online appointment booking with integration into your practice software. HWG-compliant texts and GDPR standards for patient data are a matter of course. Training upon request.
4. SEO, Security & Launch. Before go-live: backups, hacking protection, page speed, and HWG/GDPR compliance. Local SEO on “Augenarzt Berlin” plus district and focus — such as “Glaukom Berlin Mitte” — will be implemented, and old URLs will be redirected. The Google Business Profile will be optimized. For maintenance and extensions, I’m available on an hourly basis.
| Service | Price (net) |
|---|---|
| Practice website with multiple service areas | from €3.000 |

A professional practice website starts at €3,000 net. For a more comprehensive website featuring multiple service areas, appointment scheduling, and SEO, prices start at €5,000 net. Alternatively, we offer hourly rates.
I ensure that all essential requirements are met: a complete legal notice in accordance with Section 5 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG), a GDPR-compliant privacy policy, a cookie notice or consent banner if required, the integration of external services (Google Fonts, Maps, Analytics) in compliance with data protection regulations, and secure contact forms. For personalized legal advice, I recommend consulting a specialized attorney—I’ll reliably handle the technical implementation.
